2nd Reutte International, Austria 07. - 09.08.2022

 

The JWTS regional tournament "Reutte International" took place in Reutte, Tyrol fort he second year. The players came from Germany, Austria, Italy and Netherlands. The tournament was played in all age groups. The tournament was a success.

 

60 players fought for world ranking points. The age groups U8 and U10 were held as a Promo Kidscup with 21 players. These age groups will soon also be an official part of the JWTS.

 

The tournament winner are from Germany, Austria, Italy.

 

Nicolas Hingsamer from Austria was dominate in U12. In 4 matches he only lost 4 games in singles. He also won the tournament in doubles.

Aileen Siencnik won the U12 girls. The final against Siena Zankl was tough. Aileen won the Match-Tie-Break with 10-8.

On U14 girls won Bianca Theuermann the final against Vanessa Lagg 6-3, 6-2.

Also without lost a set won David Schwenk the U14 against Nicolas Hingsamer. For Nicolas was this match number 8 in 3 days.

Elisabeth Wahler from Germany won the final aginst Lousia Schuetz in U16. Together they also won the title in doubles.

The only one player from Italy, Vittorio De Nardis won the U16 tournament in singles and doubles.

 

The tournament organizer Andreas Gerstgrasser, owner of the Pro Tennisschool, was satisfied with the second tournament in Reutte. “All the children were happy about the tournament and played good tennis. I would also like to thank the sponsors and the JWTS for the new opportunity for young players. "
